Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) Initiative Round 7- Potential Applicant Webcast

About

The WORC Initiative (WORC) will invest in large-scale regional industry and sector partnerships that will design and implement industry-driven training programs that close skills gaps and increase the talent pipeline in critical sectors, and support increased worker mobility by engaging individuals disconnected from the workforce and offering career pathways into high-wage occupations for rural populations in WORC regions.

The Employment & Training Administration (ETA), in partnership with the Appalachian Regional Commission, Delta Regional Authority and Northern Border Regional Commission will discuss the application requirements explained in the recently published WORC Round 7 Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). This FOA announced the availability of approximately $49 million for grant awards to develop training and education opportunities that lead to employment and wage growth and stimulate economic mobility and increased labor force participation in the Appalachian, Delta, and Northern Border region communities.

Prospective applicants will learn important information concerning applicant eligibility, allowable activities, performance reporting, and application procedures.
