Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) Initiative Round 6- Potential Applicant Webcast
About
The Workforce Opportunity for Rural Communities (WORC) Initiative enables rural communities to propose projects that demonstrate regionally driven, comprehensive approaches to addressing economic distress and necessary workforce development activities to ensure a workforce capable of succeeding in current and future job opportunities. This webcast is designed to discuss the recently released Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) with prospective applicants.
The Employment & Training Administration (ETA), in partnership with the Appalachian Regional Commission, Delta Regional Authority and Northern Border Regional Commission will discuss the application requirements explained in the recently published Workforce Opportunities for Rural Communities Round 6 FOA. This FOA announced the availability of up to $49 million for grant awards to create economic prosperity and gainful employment opportunities for eligible residents to remain and thrive in the Appalachian, Delta, and Northern Border region communities. Listeners will hear important information concerning applicant eligibility, allowable activities, performance reporting, and application procedures.
